Primary Care Provider Opening in the Manhattan

Our client, a Community Health Center network that has all the perks you’d expect of a quality organization, is inviting consideration of this clinically-oriented Physician position. 

This is a Primary Care Family Medicine / Internal Medicine role at one of New York City's most innovative primary and multi-specialty care centers.

As you'd expect in a Primary Care setting, it's mostly caring for an underserved population that needs (and appreciates!) comprehensive care. This FQHC organization is a PCMH Level 3 with a national reputation for quality care excellence.

  • Your PE's would start at 16-ish for the first few months, then when you're in the groove, you'd be expected to ramp-up to seeing about 22 per day.
  • They have a strong preference for a Family Physician who is ethnically Hispanic or fluent in Spanish strongly preferred. Will consider others as long as their Spanish is first-rate.
  • The Center sees approx. 42K visits per year, of which 65% are Spanish-speaking patients.
  • You'd have full support of LPN/RNs for vaccine administration and 1 MA. It's a Monday-Friday daytime with no Saturdays expected.

The ideal candidate will be an MD or DO Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - both are welcome to apply! And you should have a genuine passion for evidenced-based Primary Care.

The position could have some academic and research aspects, as per the interest and time available of the Pediatrician.

Each School Health Program site has an NP and Medical Technician, and all sites have Behavioral Health services as well.

Hours are M-F, 8-4:30, no holidays, weekends or nights.
