A respected outpatient clinic in the South Bronx is seeking a Family Medicine Attending Physician to join its mission-driven, collaborative care team. This opportunity allows you to deliver comprehensive care across the full age range—from infants to older adults—while making a meaningful impact in an underserved urban community.
Broad-Scope, Community-Driven Care
This role combines scheduled primary care visits with walk-in and urgent care needs. Physicians manage a full range of patients and conditions, with an emphasis on continuity, accessibility, and compassionate service. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary care team—including nursing, social work, and care coordination—to address the medical, behavioral, and social health needs of a diverse patient panel.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting
- Provide comprehensive care across the lifespan, including pediatrics, adults, and older adults
- Coordinate preventative, episodic, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and care managers to improve patient outcomes
- Use inclusive, culturally responsive communication to engage patients and families
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts and uphold clinical standards
- Review and interpret diagnostic results, manage referrals, and close care gaps
Position Details
- Schedule: 4.5 days of clinical care + 0.5 day of protected administrative time per week
- Call: Shared, rotating phone-only call for urgent lab or blood pressure follow-ups (no inpatient)
- Setting: 100% outpatient, no hospital or teaching responsibilities
- Language: Bilingual Spanish proficiency is helpful but not required (interpreter services provided)

Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
- Active or eligible New York State medical license
- Strong interest in serving urban, underserved populations
- Pediatric through geriatric care experience or training preferred
