Job Description
If you can juggle rounds, wrangle a float RN, and keep a smile during a med pass gone sideways — this might be your stage. We’re looking for a smart, grounded, and gently commanding Nurse Manager to lead a 43-bed Med/Surg unit that also houses a 10-bed inpatient dialysis suite, and cares for a range of patients — from acute med-surg to oncology and chemotherapy.
Your vibe: professional but real. You know how to build trust fast, set clear expectations, and bring calm to chaos. Dialysis experience is a must — inpatient or outpatient, as long as you speak the language. You’ll be supported by Assistant Nurse Managers and a rockstar RN with dialysis chops, but the leadership needs your dialysis know-how. Heme/Onc familiarity? Nice to have — not required.
You’ll be leading on all fronts:
– 24/7 oversight of Med/Surg + inpatient dialysis
– Culture & documentation tune-up (yes, we’re watching those policy lapses)
– Championing QI, PI, and service recovery with a “we got this” energy
– Supporting staff development, unit flow, and patient-family wins
Must-haves: NYS RN license, BSN, BLS, and at least 2 years of leadership in a Med/Surg setting.
Dialysis experience is essential. (Master’s? Even better.)
