Quick stats:
– A 15-bed general medicine unit, with bedside cardiac monitors for CVA/Chest pain, and a 14 bed-ventilator unit.
– This is not a chronic vent unit, but post-acute for weaning as needed, or placement to a nursing home or TBI.
– RN’s will be transitioning to a 12-hour shift model, which has greatly improved recruitment and retention.
Reports directly to the CNO.
