This is your moment to guide an entire system into a culture of excellence.
We’re looking for a Nurse Educator with a *spark*—someone who lives and breathes Shared Governance, believes in the power of professional voice, and wants to be the heart of a 5-year Pathway to Excellence (PTE) designation process. You’ll be the key driver in establishing and energizing Shared Governance across the organization, partnering closely with interdisciplinary councils, unit-based teams, and senior leadership.
This isn’t a blank slate — you’ll work with a seasoned Director of Nurse Education who successfully led a PTE designation at her previous facility, and a well-respected consulting group already onboarded to support the journey. You’ll also serve as the primary PTE documentation lead, so strong writing skills and the ability to represent the voice of nursing across all levels are essential.
And yes — this is a Nursing Leadership role. You’ll likely report directly to the CNO with a dotted line to the Director of Nursing Education and Professional Development. Expect Monday to Friday hours (8a–4p) with the kind of availability you’d expect during key milestones or Shared Governance events.
Your Toolkit:
* RN (NYS), BSN, Master’s required
* A naturally inspirational communicator — written and spoken
* Deep understanding of Shared Governance, PTE or Magnet structure
* Acute care experience required; QI background a plus
* Strong organizational skills and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
* *Contagious enthusiasm for elevating nursing practice*
This role is tailor-made for someone who’s led—or been energized by—PTE, Magnet, or similar ANCC quality programs. If you’re ready to empower frontline nurses, translate culture into documentation, and build the framework for long-term excellence, we’d love to introduce you.
Let’s talk about it!
