Family Medicine Physician

Brooklyn, NY

Our client, an academic medical center-affiliated network in Brooklyn, has an opening for a Family Medicine physician who wants a real full-panel practice, not a chopped-up schedule of fifteen-minute visits and someone else’s overflow.

The setting is community health, which means genuine continuity of care across a diverse panel: chronic disease management, preventive care, acute visits, the whole scope of what FM training actually prepared you for.

This isn’t a role where you’re triaging coughs all day and referring out anything that takes more than one problem to solve.

You’ll have real support doing it: 1:1 MA staffing and full LPN/RN coverage for vaccine administration, so the flow of the day stays clean instead of turning into logistics management between patients.

And here’s the part worth pausing on: the site runs on Epic and uses Abridge for ambient documentation, so your note is drafted in real time while you’re actually in the room with the patient.

Pajama time in the EMR becomes a thing of the past!

Key Responsibilities

Full-panel outpatient Family Medicine care.

So an average of 18 to 20 patients per 8-hour clinical session, across nine clinic sessions a week, with one session set aside for the admin work that would otherwise eat into your evenings: refills, results, portal messages, the usual pile.

Standard participation in quality management and performance improvement work comes with the territory. You know… the kind tied to actual outcomes, not extra committee seats nobody asked for.

There’s room to informally mentor medical students if teaching is something you enjoy, but there’s no formal curriculum obligation attached. It’s there if you want it, not a requirement if you don’t.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 to 5, with one evening session a week (12–7:30), with no weekend clinic, ever.

Call is phone-only, rotating across the group, and typically comes around once a month.
