A respected community-based ambulatory care network in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for a part-time, clinic-only position focused exclusively on outpatient women’s health.
This is a 3-day-per-week, Monday–Friday, 9–5 role centered on prenatal, postpartum, and full-scope gynecologic care. There are no labor and delivery responsibilities, no nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no call coverage.

The Opportunity
You’ll join a stable and collaborative midwifery team led by a long-standing Director with over two decades of leadership continuity. The group is composed of experienced Certified Nurse Midwives who value teamwork, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence.
The practice serves one of New York City’s most vibrant and diverse communities and functions as a teaching site for midwifery students from leading academic institutions. Teaching involvement is welcome but not required.
This position is ideal for a CNM who enjoys outpatient women’s health and wants to focus on meaningful clinical care — without stepping onto the labor deck.
What You’ll Do
You’ll provide comprehensive prenatal care from pregnancy confirmation through the postpartum transition, supporting patients through each stage with a strong emphasis on education, continuity, and relationship-based care.
The role also includes full-scope gynecologic services and preventive women’s health, all within a collaborative midwifery team that values shared expertise and mutual support. You’ll work closely with colleagues while maintaining a direct reporting relationship with the Director of Midwifery, who leads the program.
When & Where You’ll Do It
This is a part-time role working three days per week during weekday daytime hours in a busy ambulatory clinic setting. The schedule is intentionally predictable and clinic-focused: no OB call, no labor and delivery coverage, and no weekend or holiday shifts.
It’s designed for midwives who enjoy outpatient care and want to focus their time on patients rather than the unpredictability of the labor floor.
What You’ll Bring To The Picnic
You’re a Certified Nurse Midwife licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York, with experience in outpatient women’s health and a strong commitment to patient-centered, community-based care.
You’re comfortable practicing independently while collaborating with an experienced clinical team, and you value the kind of professional stability and autonomy that comes with a well-structured, predictable schedule.
